Gigi era, welcome to spill the tea my lovely. My first question for you is what made you want to travel all the way from melbourne down under to compete on drag race philippines?
I wanna come home to share my stories and become an inspiration.
Down under you are known for your death-defying stunts and fabulous wigs, when did you discover you wanted to do drag?
It was 5 years ago while filming a movie at broken hill. I got to perform as a drag queen for the movie. Although i was working as the head hair and make up artist for that film. One day they nedded a drag queen for a scene. Then they ask me to do it. So i jumped in and the rest is history!!!
Was it nice to come home and represents davao in the competition?
Absolutely I want davaoenos to be proud of me. To where i started and where I am now.
The judges didn’t seem to like your literal interpretation of the theme this week. Looking back on it now would you have changed it?
Yes!!! I would really want a couture tyanak outfit like fully beaded lace/stoned and dramatic. Folklore runway was very challenging for me. I have a designer friend that made a promise to help me. But when i landed to philippines nothing has been done. So i have to come up with my own.
Did you feel you got to show enough of your stunts on the show?
No….but its good so my fans and supporter would want more.
Now, let’s not forget losing is the new winning (as RuPaul says), getting on the show is a huge achievement which opens many doors but what do you hope the future holds for you?
I really wanna buy my own house and of course I wanna help the young generations in Davao. Specially the victims of absuse and less fortunate lgbtqia. I wanna travel the world and do shows too.
