Who we want to see on RuPaul's Drag Race Series 5

We might be a little bit biased but Drag Race UK is the best spin-off from the US hit show (and in our opinion the best overall). There is something that our UK Queens bring that you just can’t match. That said on Monday 11th September BBC Three have announced they will Reveal the cast of Drag Race UK Series 5!

Ahead of that announcement it got us thinking… who would we want to see on this or a future season.

Alexis Saint Pete

We had the pleasure of being captivated by this queen on stage multiple times. From the second we saw her first walk out to the countless other times after. Each time I LOVE to see this queens energy and would love to see them bring that sexy, fierce energy to our TV screens.

Asia Thorne

Asia holds a special place in heart, a queen who performed at my local venue regularly and someone I’m honoured to get to know. Asia is one of the sweetest queens I have ever met and always had time for a natter at shows. I had followed Asia for a while before seeing them perform and on the night I did, she stood in the rain greeting the fans as if it was a summers evening. I knew in that second I would love her and now whenever they are on stage I’m captivated by their positive energy.

Cara Melle

I mean, just look at this goddess! Bringing pure sex and pure talent whenever they walk on a stage. If you haven’t seen this queen dominate a stage yet you are missing out! Check their tour dates and go see them perform and bring, IT!

DeDeLicious

Fun fact, Series 3 winner Krystal Versace and DeDeLicious used to be regular performers at a venue near us and I fell in love with the both of them, they were highlights for me (even over the Ru-Girls who were performing that night). I have followed DeDe since and I have loved seeing them grow from strength to strength with their looks, performances and make-up skills! DeDe would be a fierce competitor for sure and I feel everyone needs to meet this beaut!

Ellavryde

I promise I started following this queen for more than the hot Throwback Thursdays posts! And you should as well, this talented queen brings so much more and I love the art they produce and I think the UK would too.

KiKi Snatch

The second I saw KiKi my mouth hit the floor, every other time since that I have seen KiKi perform, my mouth still hits the floor. The other queens can try but when KiKi is performing, I’m in awe of that bad b*tch energy!

Marmalade

Every seasons of Drag Race needs a queen that is going to bring the LOOKS! You will have seen many already from this talented queen worn by other Drag Race stars before, but I would love to see what they would bring for themselves to the main stage.

Miss Terri Boxx

Why fit in when you can stand out! I love the edge this queen brings and I really think putting them on a series would shake up the competiton!

Paige Three

When I saw Paige Three as a fresh queen slay a poor unexpecting twink to a lip sync battle, I knew this beaut was going to go far and I’m thrilled to see them do it each and every time! This queen would make great TV and you know it.

Shar Cooterie

This camp queen is such a star and I think they would really show a different side to the UK drag scene. The love and support this queen shows for not only us but the whole drag community warms my heart and I’m sure they would warm everyone else’s should they appear on our screens in the future.

Skinny Minnie

Where else can you go once you become the most read interview on our website? Drag Race of course! Jokes aside I couldn’t not offer this queen a feature in Spill the Tea when I came across Skinny Minnie. I think their take on Drag is just what a UK season needs. Boy oh boy is the world missing out if this beaut doesn’t end up on our screens!

Sophia Stardust

A queen I have followed for years and like everyone else, once you discover this star you can’t help but fall in love with them! Having seen this them in many acting shows already I think Ru would be in stitches if this beaut got to show their comedy / acting skills!

That Girl

If a queen can come through an angry mob attacking them week after week for doing something as simple as bringing joy to the world then I think they can handle Drag Race! I love how well That Girl took it all in their stride and stood strong, if anything, over that time I have loved seeing their drag improve. Pressure does make diamonds after all.

Tequila Thirst

A queen I discovered during lockdown and I’m so glad I did! I have loved seeing this beaut grow as an artist and it’s always scary when you have followed someone for so long and it comes to meeting them in person. Thankfully Tequila is one of those queens that you can’t help but fall in love with even more because they are so sweet!

Insta @thetequilathirst

Of course this is just a handful of the beauts I would like to see hit our screens. But remember, regardless of who gets cast, make sure you support all these artists and every other local queen and king performing across the UK day and night.
