RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under - Episode 4
Before we jump into this, there are spoilers below if you haven’t watched the episode yet. All the comments below are just my fun opinion, its a TV show don’t get upset if I didn’t like your favourite Queen!
This week the Queens are joined in the werkroom by the biggest pile of trash you have ever seen (and no we don’t mean Elektras drag… oooo shade haha that was a joke honestly). Which means one thing… hello design challenge! Wait… what’s that, there’s something rummaging around inside that box! Is it a rat? Nope just Art Simone back, back, back again and ready to return to the competition. If I’m being honest I was thrilled that Ru brought Art back as I think she was such a massive part of the show and I think Ru must have realised his mistake the moment he sent Art home. The other Queens must be be mega pissed though, Ru just brought back one of the strongest competitors in the competition, a Queen they all thought they had sent home.
Art back in the game Ru challenges the Queens to make a look out of all the junk in the middle and with that the Queens begin fighting over bits of junk to make their outfits. I’m now going to jump right to the runway (as all that happened was Ru doing a little run through and some pointless drama between the Queens).
On the runway the Queens did the best they could with what they had.
My favourite I think had to be Maxi Shield who rocked their look, although we had seen this material used before by Divina De Campo on the UK series 1. Was it is as good? I think it’s hard to compare as they are such different styles that suited the Queens at the time. My least favourite… I think it was Elektra. I know she mixed it up and did something different but when you look around at the other Queens wearing junk it just doesn’t match up. I think Elektra will make a great Queen to see live and maybe come back for All Stars in a few years and smash it, but right now sadly she is the weakest link and the one I felt should be in the bottom. Ru didn’t have the same opinion as me and gave the win to Scarlett Adams and put Karen from Finance and Anita Wig’lit in the bottom. Sadly after an okay lip sync we saw Anita leave the competition. At first Anita really rubbed me the wrong way but as the competition went on I really grew to love her and actually will miss her next week.
