RuPaul's Drag Race Holland Season 2 - Episode 7 Review

Before we jump into this remember there are spoilers below if you haven’t watched the episode yet. All the comments below are just my fun opinion, its a TV show don’t get upset if I didn’t like your favourite Queen!

* Sniff Sniff * The time has come for our final Drag Race Holland Season 2 Review (as we don’t review the finale). Before we get too emotional thinking about it let’s jump in.

The top four enter the werkroom and give Fred their little dance to welcome him. Once welcomed Fred brings one of the pit crew carrying sashes. Written on the back of each sash is the one of the top fours names. The Queens take it in turn to pick one. Once picked Fred tells the Queens to get into quick Drag and impersonate their fellow team mates.

Once ready (and may I say the Queens looked flipping hilarious as each other) they had to accept an award for something of their choosing and act how they wood. All were pretty spot on, Vanessa was hilarious as she played on Vivaldi cheating but did it without mentioning the phone which would have been such an easy route to go down. I think Vivaldi equally did a good My Little Puny but I do agree with Vanessa getting the win. This gives her the job of handing out the acting roles for the main acting challenge. For this challenge the Queens are given a murder mystery acting challenge named ‘Murder on the Heel’ where one is the investigator and the other 3 characters linked together, one murdered and the two suspects.

Once the Queens go to prepare the episode was edited very strangely and it felt watching them rehearse compared to the finished show. The rehearsal was so much better and I’m not sure if they made a script change or what but it made so much more sense before. The script for the murder mystery was a little odd and I think the Queens did a good job with what they were given, however, overall it was a bit of a meh moment for the series.

For the runway the Queens had a category of ‘Double Dutch’ where the Queens had to include a Dutch icon and export. Now again like the main challenge, this wasn’t the best for the Queens. If I had to pick a winner it would be… maybe Keta Minaj if she took off the socks. The judges then gave their feedback to the Queens and it was really rather mixed, some being praised for the acting and others for the ideas brought to the runway. Once the feedback was given Fred asks the Queens who they think should go home. When Vivaldi starts she went to do the usual Drag Queen answers of this was so hard and I love my sisters. But Fred cuts her off basically tell her to get to the point which again I love! I hate the fakeness of that question and loved Holland wanted to avoid it. After the Queens get sent back into the werkroom to untuck and it becomes clear My Little Puny thinks she’s up for elimination but for me it was so unclear.

Once back on the main stage the Queens find out who is in the bottom and who the winner is. My Little Puny has I’m in the bottom written all over her face when Fred calls her name however, those words don’t come out and instead Fred awards the win. Clearly Puny is shocked as the judges earlier really slated her outfit which Fred does point out and says it was based on main challenge performance only not the outfit. Vanessa is the next saved Queen leaving Vivaldi and Keta Minaj to fight it out to a Queen song. The lip sync was a bit well, underwhelming and didn’t seem like two Queens fighting for the final. I honestly couldn’t tell you who I would pick but Fred saves Vivaldi and sends poor Keta Minaj home.
