Elimination interview with Scarlett Envy
Congratulations Scarlet on being a fabulous racer. What was it like to compete alongside your international drag sisters on Drag Race UK vs The World?
Thank you! I had a great time competing against some of the best drag queens in the world, what an amazing experience. The cast was stacked! It was an honour and pleasure to return to Drag Race for another shot at the crown. Thank you to our host country for being so warm and welcoming! I'm excited to return soon for the official tour with everyone.
What did you learn?
Ilearned that the Brit Crew really does look that good.
What were the highlights of your versus journey?
Winning the Kim Petras lip sync in front of Kim Petras was definitely a highlight. My Titanic runway is another one, and I enjoyed singing live a few times. Finally making it to The Snatch Game was great, too.
What were the hardest bits?
For me, sashaying away is always the hardest part of the show. There is some real truth behind "sashay away made me who I am today" but I really wanted to make it to the finale this time. However, I wouldn’t want that at the cost of actually losing myself and I think the competition did get the best of me at times.
I took some things personally, but I'm a messy Pisces, so nothing new there. Happy to learn from my experiences and continue to grow as a queen and a person. Drag Race catfights seem much less important when we consider the discrimination and violence our community faces on a daily basis. A safer world for our community is the real fight, and an ongoing battle.

What’s next for Scarlet?
My debut poetry book Scarlet Envy: She’s a Poet is coming this spring! It's a collection of prose and poetry I’ve been writing over the last 8 years. I'm self-publishing as an independent author, so your support is more than appreciated. The book is filthy and fun. I’m excited to leave my lipstick smudge on the literary landscape. Preorder soon!
