Meet the Queens interview with Scarlet Envy
Scarlet, welcome! Tell us about your drag race herstory?
Well, I appeared on a fairly iconic season, where I found myself asking the question “am I the drama” – and it turned out I was, and that became my line that has stuck for evermore! And then they clearly liked the drama as I was asked to return to play on All Stars. Of course, I’d have liked to have gone further, I have never made it to Snatch Game and so this time round, I plan to stick around longer! My looks are insane, you’re gonna gag! I cannot wait to walk the runway.
What are you most looking forward to?
I think it's just incredible to see the different varieties of drag from around the world. I’m looking forward to the laughter - the humour here is a little bit different. It's very dry, and very smart and my humour is very dumb and goofy, but we will figure it out.
What’s your strategy for the series?
My strategy for the series is to make good television, snatch the crown and have fun doing both.
What have you learnt from your previous experience of RuPaul’s Drag Race & All Stars?
You don't loose RuPaul’s Drag Race twice without learning a thing or two. I’m so good at giving bad advice!
In the previous competitions, who would you have done for snatch game?
I’ve always wanted to do Lana Del Rey or Ann Margret for Snatch Game. They are both icons who have yet to be impersonated on the show!
How competitive are you?
I am very competitive! This is my third time coming for a crowning from Ru, so I guess that speaks to my love for this competition. I’ve always been a fan of the show, this is wild so be back!
Any final fighting words?
I am coming for this win! Wait, Is it me? Am I the winner? !
