Congratulations on the release of your new single ‘Ass Like Mine’, what made you want to record new music?
I am a huge fan of music. I have been working with music from doing my shows to my brand new music podcast ‘’’Funk What Ya Heard” as well as having so much fun recording my track for RuPauls Drag Race Allstars 3 “ Why You Mad Tho” and my first single “Yazz Bitch” that I thought it was time to release another track especially when I had the rare opportunity to work with an amazing producer singer songwriter Ellis Miah , who has worked with BTS and the Goddess RuPaul herself.
For anyone wanting to know, how do you get an ass like yours?
LOTS OF SQUATS LOL…. Or If you have the means have a surgeon do it for you ( No Judgement here) …. All I will say is a quote “ Don’t You love My sexy padded body” - Morgan Mcmichaels ….
What one emoji describes the single the best?
I would use the Party emoji for sure when talking about my single “Ass Like Mine”. I think that the whole experience for me was exactly that , from recording to filming the video and of course having all of my closest friends in the video with me … I want people to party , get up and shake their booty to this song and of course all of the people doing the #ASSLIKEMINECHALLENGE
What was the inspiration behind the music video?
The moment I heard the music behind the lyrics I thought of an 80’s esque moment, then when legendary director Brad Hammer and his team were brought on board his experience in doing fabulous music videos solidified my choice for an 80s video . The production team had many treatments for the video but keeping with the vibe, it was decided to do a dance party based off of the memorable tv shows solid gold, soul train and dance party USA and the rest is Drag Herstory :)
There are many guest appearances in the video, how did you select who starred alongside you?
I am so blessed and highly favored to have had so many fantastic guest appearances in the video…. I have had the great honor to work with some of the best entertainers in the world. With This being my first ever music video, I called all of my friends to come and be a part of this milestone experience including So many talented divas from RuPauls Drag Race, some of whom I have had the blessing of being friends with for many years before the shows inception, really talented newer queens to the Southern California scene who are going to take the world by storm very soon to really special celebrity friends who I have met along my journey who took the time out of their extremely busy schedules to make memories with me.
Can fans expect more music from you in the future?
I would love to release more music for sure, It is a hard process but I have been super blessed on this latest single to work with professionals who know what they are doing !!!! Keep you ears to the speakers !!!
