Q&A with Veronica Green

If you haven’t watched episode 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK then proceed no further unless you don’t mind spoilers.

The Coronavirus shook and still is shaking the world! Drag Race was no exception and the show had to stop filming for 7 months. During these 7 months sadly Veronica Green tested positive for Coronavirus and was unable to stay in the competition.

Veronica clearly made a name for herself on the show and showcased her talents with some of her looks and performances coming out on top. Read the Q&A below where Veronica talks about her departure from the show.

How was it leaving the competition when you found out?
When I found out I was not allowed back on set and had been withdrawn from the competition I cried. I was upset for about 3 days. All the hard work I’d put into the show and the effort I’d made preparing to return felt like it was all for nothing…

What have you learned from the experience?

I learned that not everyone gets my sense of humour and that’s ok. I’ve also learned that I need to be quicker getting into drag as I was always one of the last queens ready for the runway!

What’s the one thing you’ll never forgot about your time on the series?
I’ll never forget winning my first RuPeter badge! I was so thrilled to excel on the musical theatre challenge so it’s a real highlight I’ll never forget.

With an invite to season 3 we are looking forward to seeing Veronica return. Below we have pulled together a few of our highlights from Veronicas time on the show.
